Ancient and distinguished, the Afghan hound is one of the most beautiful dogs in the world. A playful companion, this sight-hound makes a great pet for anyone who has the time and patience to help maintain its illustrious coat. However, the breed has a high “prey-drive” due to its history as a hunting dog and is therefore is generally not recommended for people who have other small pets. Still, the breed makes a great family pet and loves to receive affection from its human master!
