The Chinook dog is a working dog originally developed and used as sled dogs, but also fit for carting, search and rescue, packing, and competitions in obedience and fly-ball. Rarely aggressive, the Chinook is good with children and very loyal to its family. If a Chinook is taken on a long daily walk, it can function well in apartment life. This breed is very affectionate, and becomes very attached to its humans, so it’s important to spend time with a Chinook daily so that its social needs are met. With its sweet, gentle temperament, a Chinook is an excellent family dog.
