Welcome to the “California Curly-Coated Retriever Breeders” page of Local Puppy Breeders! If this is your first time visiting our site, every state page on LPB (that’s shorthand for Local Puppy Breeders) has a complete list of every single local breeder that we have identified in that state. You will be able to find all their current contact information, as well as a link to their website, so you can see what puppies they currently have available for sale. We provide you with all this information so that you can research each breeder individually and find the one that has your perfect puppy available!

Originally bred to retrieve game for hunters, the Curly-Coated Retriever is known for its unique coat of dense curly. Despite its uniqueness, the coat does not take a lot of grooming, though regular bathing, brushing, and combing is recommended. This retriever’s temperament is friendly and playful, but very energetic, so it’s important to take Curly-Coated Retrievers on long daily walks. If their exercise needs are met, these retrievers make fantastic family dogs, responsive to training (if you train confidently and consistently), and great with children.
