The Frenchton is considered a designer dog that was designed by crossing the French bulldog with a Boston Terrier. Unlike many designer breeds, the accepted standard for this breed is not a 50 / 50 split but instead usually 75% French bulldog and 25% Boston Terrier. The specific features of Frenchton puppies vary from litter to litter and can even vary within a litter. However, most have the athleticism of the Boston Terrier without such bulging eyes. Frenchtons have short hair and typically do not shed very much. This makes grooming very manageable as they do not require frequent brushing. Frenchtons are very playful and energetic dogs who love to cuddle with their owners, making them a great pet for children.
