Possessing great empathy, the Keeshond is used as a comfort dog and is adept at knowing exactly what it's owner needs. Very loyal to their owners, it's not unusual for a Keeshond to ignore others who are in the room and focus solely on it's master. They are also sometimes referred to as a: German Spitz, Wolfspitz, Dutch Barge Dog, or a Chien Loup.
