The Olde English Bulldogge is a relatively new American breed of dog that was inspired by the working English bulldog from the 1800’s that were healthier than today’s breed. To develop these dogs, English bulldogs were bred with Bullmastiffs, Pit Bulls and American Bulldogs. Olde English Bulldogge’s stand between 16 – 20 inches tall and on average weigh between 50 – 80 pounds. This breed of dog resembles the 19th century bulldogs; they are muscular, agile and capable of performing without restriction in all weather. Olde English Bulldogge’s have a short coat, with accepted colors including both brindle and solid colors, with or without white. These dogs have a temperament that is suitable as a companion while still possessing the strong work ethic that was most desirable.
