The Pharaoh Hound is an elegant and tidy dog known for their intelligence and sleek appearance reminiscent of the paintings in the pyramids. Suitable for owners who are interested in a jogging partner that shares their house as these dogs do not do well outdoors nor do they do well alone for long periods of time. They do well with children they know. However, unknown children, like unknown adults, are often viewed as suspicious and not trusted. Their high prey drive makes homes with small animals unsuitable as the dog will attempt to dispatch them. They require a house with a yard, and an apartment is not suitable for their needs. They are also known as the Kelb Tal-Fenek.
