Aggressive and imposing, the Tibetan Mastiff is NOT a good dog for just anyone. Known for their ferocious attitude and protective personality, this breed needs a strong owner who can direct and train their dog to be a personable companion. Not suited for houses with small children, the Tibetan Mastiff is best in a rural setting when it can be used as a guard dog. Always working, they don't make a friendly family dog and don't typically like to play or lounge around. Happiest with lots of space and livestock to guard, it's not a recommended breed for anyone who can't handle their strong and aggressive temperament.
