If this is your first time visiting our site, every state page on LPB (that’s shorthand for Local Puppy Breeders) has a complete list of every single local breeder that we have identified in that state. We provide you with all this information so that you can research each breeder individually and find the one that has your perfect puppy available!
The Xoloitzcuintli is a medium-sized dog that the Aztecs believed was a physical manifestation of their god of the underworld, Xolotl. One of the most notable things about this breed is that it is hairless which requires specialized care for its skin both for associated health issues and with keeping the dog warm. These dogs are known to be very sensitive emotionally and physically making a home with small or rough children a poor choice as the dog, despite their gentle nature, may bite in defense. These dogs do well in a warm, urban environment and do not tolerate being outdoors in hot or cold weather. These dogs are also known as the Mexican Hairless, Tepeizeuintli, Xolo, and the Xoloitzcuintle.
